Maltese artist Rosman Pace has established a series of successes in the International Song Festivals in which he has participated during the last few months. He has returned from Serbia two weeks ago honoring Malta once again with a third placing in this prestigious festival known as the second Eurovision in the Ex-Yugoslavian & the Baltic States
The festival was spread over three days from the 25th to the 27th August and it was transmitted live on satellite TV and watched by over 32 million viewers.
24 countries participated in this international song festival for the competition and several other international artists had been invited to perform at this huge event, these included countries like Croatia, Slovenia, Cyprus, Italy, Greece, Sweden, Belarus, Serbia and many more. Rosman performed brilliantly on both nights, the stage was enormous and the sound & lighting equipment was so hi-tech it was just so incredible. Rosman achieved third placing for Malta at the Sunflower Song Festival which was a fantastic result as all the artists were of very high standards and some even had already participated in the Eurovision Song Contest.
First Prize included 4,000 Euros which was won by the singer Madame Piano who represented her home country, Serbia. Second placed Pyotr Elfimov from Belarus and third was awarded to our Maltese singer Rosman.
During the festival the director of Europop Concert Johann Adamo invited Rosman to perform in the following weekend in Sarajevo, Bosnia Herzegovina however due to his busy schedule Rosman had to decline this opportunity, though he insisted that at least Rosman will attend to his concert next year.
It was a great achievement once again for Rosman as he has placed with the top three for Malta on three consecutive International Song Festivals, in June in winner of the Amberstar Festival in Latvia, in July the Universong International Festival in Spain and last month in August the Sunflower International Music Festival in Serbia.
This coming weekend Rosman will be in Naples - Italy where he will be representing Malta once again in an International Festival called “Canzoni Del Mondo - Festival Internazionale di musica Pop” were he will be performing two of his songs from his repertoire. International singers from countries such as Estonia, Argentina, Turkey, Cyprus, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Moldavia, Singapore, Italy and Lithuania will be participating in this annual event held in the superb Italian city of Naples.
